Grim reminder
David Stockman reminds us that Republicans, or at least important elements in their leadership, used to be sane and responsible, rather than reckless know-nothings.
But the Republicans have a six-point lead on the generic congressional ballot, which because of geographic districts probably translates to an 8- or 10-percent advantage, so they're probably not going to change tactics anytime soon
